Here at Marpole Retreats we want to make sure Holistic Health & Wellness is accessible to everyone, which is why we've asked our coaches to create fun and easily digestible content for you, available whenever you have the time. We recommend reading the first tab below before you start to get an idea of what areas in your life you want to focus on.

Holistic Health & Wellness

This section outlines what the practice of Holistic Health & Wellness is and gives you a tangible method of determining which areas of your own holistic wellbeing need a little more time and love. What is Holistic Health & Wellness? 

Each and every one of us is unique. This means that what we need in order to thrive changes from one person to the next.


Individual needs can be broken down into key 'buckets', and if we take care of each of these buckets we'll live happier and healthier lives.


Practicing Holistic Health & Wellness is all about caring for these buckets simultaneously and in line with our individual needs.

Your Wheel of Life

The Wheel of Life is a fantastic practice for ensuring you're looking at all of your buckets and giving them the attention they need.  Either draw out our Wheel of Life yourself, or download it for free and print it out. 

How to use the Wheel of Life 

  1. For each section of the wheel, be honest with yourself on how happy and fulfilled you are feeling with that bucket.

  2. Shade in that section up to an appropriate number. 10 being the highest level of happiness and fulfillment.

  3. Once you are done, take a step back and look at your health & wellness from a holistic perspective. 

  4. The areas with the lowest amount of shading are those which could do with a little more time and focus to give you the happiest life possible. 

  5. Set yourself some personal goals related to these sections. Top tip: create goals for 30 days, 60 days and 90 days so that you break down them down, you'll be more likely to stick with them.

Keep Your Personal Goals on Track with 1:1 Health Coaching Sessions

We've all created goals before...and let's be honest, it can be tricky sticking to them!


Our best advise is to find someone who will hold you accountable, and check in on your goals. By vocalizing your dreams with others, you're more likely to push forwards and achieve them.

Health Coaching is a great way to do this. At Marpole Retreats we use the Wheel of Life as our grounding and work at establishing clear and actionable goals from there each session. We will ensure you're setting goals which will help you be happy, grow with you, and adapt as you do (goals can change after all!).​
